Malawski. Rebirth
The entire visual work consists of 5 abstract, tactile compositions.
Each of them tells about the emotions and experiences of the author. Not all of them can be named and described; we can only feel them and express them through image and sound. We give them context, rhythm, and time so that the work forms a whole.
An additional language of storytelling about the piece will be a specially selected musical work that tells the story of the entire visual piece, while the musical work itself will create the mood in the reception of the artwork.
The musical layer will consist of an existing musical work, namely the first miniature from the cycle “5 miniatures for piano” by Polish composer Artur Malawski (the piece was written in 1946), performed by Agata Górska-Kołodziejska.
Abstraction allows for personal interpretations of the composition; it is full of expressions, meanings, and energy, remaining open. The emotions expressed in both the visual and musical works can be universal.”
