Raku ceramics

Raku, for me, is a record of a moment captured in matter. Colors are born and extinguished in a fraction of a second, creating shades that only a moment before did not exist – deep blacks, the blues of the night sky, shimmering coppers. Each work becomes a unique testimony to the encounter between the human hand and the alchemy of fire.

Each piece in raku carries many lives – flashes of colors and worlds that fade away before they cool into a single, unrepeatable form.
